Using Doms watercolor tubes

The tube format of watercolor paint has a creamy consistency that can be used in two ways:

• Wet from the tube: Squeeze a small amount of paint onto your palette and mix with water to achieve the desired concentration.
• Dried on the palette: Squeeze paint onto your palette and let it dry overnight. This allows you to re-wet the paint and use it later, which can help prevent waste.

Compared to watercolor pans (solid cakes), the tubed paint makes it easier to achieve a rich, saturated wash of color with less effort.
